MODEL KEPEMIMPINAN ISLAM PADA MASA KHALIFAH UMAR BIN KHATTAB

Abstract

Umar bin Khattab was a friend of the prophet who became the second caliph after the death of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Caliph Umar bin Khattab, one of the most influential figures in Islamic history. His 10 years of leadership were marked by significant territorial expansion, political stability, and the institutionalization of a solid administrative system. Umar’s leadership brought Muslims towards progress in various aspects, namely from religious, educational, cultural, socio-cultural and political aspects. A leader who is brave, wise, hard-working, firm and has a gentle attitude. Umar’s success at that time proved that he was a reliable person in the field of leadership and also state administration. During his leadership, he was known for issuing several policies that were not thought of by the friends at that time, from this policy, it was one of the state administration systems during the Caliph Umar bin Khattab who successfully carried out the mandate of the people in implementing the government.
