About the Journal

Fatabayyanu Journal of Islamic Thought and Society (FJITS) offers a comprehensive exploration of Islamic thought through the lenses of spirituality, humanities, and social sciences.

This journal also aims to bridge the gap between textual and contextual approaches to Islamic Studies and address the dichotomy between ‘orthodox’ and ‘heterodox’ Islam. It highlights how the textual tradition demonstrates that Islam is not only a set of religious tenets but also a method for approaching practical economic and social challenges. Therefore, this journal fosters interdisciplinary collaboration by inviting contributions from scholars across various fields, including the humanities, social sciences, and Islamic studies.

FJITS, published three times a year (February, June, and October), always places Islam and Muslim in the central focus of academic inquiry and invites any discussions as the aim and scopes. It has published the articles since 2024.
