DEEPFAKE DAN MANIPULASI DIGITAL SEBAGAI BENTUK PENYEBARAN FITNAH MODERN

Abstract

As technology advances, it can influence culture and improve the quality of society, particularly in the field of technology, specifically in Artificial Intelligence (AI). This refers to a computer system or technology designed to mirror human intellectual intelligence, such as thinking, decision-making, and solving problems currently experienced by humans. With the advancement of technology today, it has had a major impact on human life, ranging from beneficial to detrimental. One of the most prominent and controversial technologies is Deepfake. The Deepfake phenomenon is an artificial intelligence that can manipulate a person's face, voice, and body shape, through video and audio to produce convincing fake recordings. Deepfake has positive potential in terms of marketing and creativity, but Deepfake is more often misused for slander, fraud, political propaganda, and even the distribution of non-sensual pornographic content. Although Deepfake is not specifically regulated in Indonesian positive law, there are several laws related to this issue. As stated in Indonesian positive law, specifically the ITE Law, the Pornography Law, and the Criminal Code No. 1 of 2023.
